FISHERY RULES
All fishing at Pottishaw is by fly only. No litter dropping and old leader line must be disposed of in the correct manner. No dogs allowed. No rod sharing. no leader line outside 4lb-10lb must be used with no more than 3 flies on a cast. No alcohol to be consumed at the fishery. Brown trout,tiger trout and all course fish species must be returned to the water unharmed. Please keep noise to an absolute minimum. Please read and understand the catch and release rules(available at fishery) before you start fishing.
ABOUT THE FISHERY
Pottishaw Fishery was established in 2004. The fishery will always be focused on quality fishing and customer service.
Pottishaw is committed to catch and release but one or two fish tickets are available(Rainbows only) The high catch and release policy, together with low fishing pressure allows our fish to reach top quality potential. Pottishaw is best fished with floating lines and smaller flies although the usual intermediate and lure tactics work well in the colder months. Rods are limited to 15 per day leaving ample room even at the busiest periods. Rainbows, Browns, Blues and Tigers are regularly stocked and the fishery has a good head of course fish including some fantastic pike. Fly fishing is available for pike from August until March (no dead baiting or lure fishing) The fishery prides itself on a clean and tidy appearance and therefore there is a zero tolerance approach to litter or leader line being dropped.
Tea and coffee is always available.
